Deep Cove, British Columbia

Crossing the border into Canada, there is a lighter vibration evident. It is so beautiful and I feel a sense of rest being in a part of the British Commonwealth. They have a sensitivity to beauty that plays out in the lovely gardens that greet you as soon as you cross the border. There is a clean energy.  A lighter approach to life that one can feel. Lucy is traveling with me and we both noticed the energy shift as we made our way into Canada. We are here visiting a friend of mine, Lea. She is a wonderful woman who originally hails from Iowa and in her travels many years back, found her heart in this town of Deep Cove. It is a place of misty mountains, forests and ocean. So beautiful and magical. I feel as though I have stepped into one of my favorite Scottish/English novels. Small community, the Anglican church, boats of all kinds out on the water, children running free, tiny little roundabout, one main street of shops and restaurants.
At night, I sleep with the window wide open and the clean healing breezes come down off the mountain to caress me in my bed. I pull the down comforter up and feel that I am being fed in some deep part of my soul.
